Food & Beverage - F&B Service Agents

We’re currently looking for young, dynamic, self motivated Food & Beverage professionals who want to move their careers forward.

As a F&B Service Agent you are responsible to be proficient in the history of Trader Vics and and an ambassador to the outlet. To provide professional service to our guests, ensuring their restaurant visit will become a memorable dining experience whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:

• Perform all necessary tasks to service food & beverage according to the standard of performance manual of Trader Vics and Rotana.

• Greet and serve customers and serve them in a professional, discreet and personalized way

• Acquire in depth knowledge of the food & beverage menu in order to assist and provide advice to guests

• Consistently monitor quality of food & beverage being served

• To assist F&B Supervisor and Headwaiter in any task or responsibility requested from either/or any of them

• Practice good customer relations and attend to customer complaints / queries satisfactorily

• Responsible for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards in the outlet and upkeep of all service equipment

• Responsible for all service preparations before, during and after the service (mis-en-place & mis-en-scene)

• To assist with the wine service whenever requested by F&B Supervisor/Headwaiter

• To have good knowledge of wines and wine service

• To have good knowledge of the food and its provenience i.e. region of the world that it comes from

• To lease with the Maître D’Hotel in any lost and found items

• To handle any special dietary requirements and report to Supervisor or Headwaiter the same

• Ensure minimum wastage, breakage and spoilage

• Actively use up selling techniques to exceed guest expectations and increase revenue

• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and colleagues’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment

• Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should ideally have a diploma / degree in hospitality or a vocational training in food & beverage with previous experiences as a Waiter / Waitress in a high volume restaurant. A good command of English and additional skills, like guest service and interpersonal are essentials.
