We are currently seeking for passionate and dynamic Sales professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests.
As a Area Director of Sales, you are responsible for directing and supervising the day-to-day sales activities of the Dubai & Northern Emirates Area Sales teams, training and developing the colleagues as well as implementing action plans as set forth by corporate office. The position is responsible for building and maintaining long term, value based business to business relationships between Rotana and all organizations related to the Corporate, Government and MICE sectors, whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:
• Establishing and maintaining an active role within industries across the Corporate, Government, and MICE segments, including third parties.
• Monitoring sales production, running monthly analysis meetings with the team, and adjusting their activities to maximize their efforts in order to guarantee market coverage, that ensures achieving area targets, as well as brand awareness.
• Reviewing the month end Sales report to ensure the department’s activities and room-nights/revenue production are correctly documented as per Corporate standards.
• Introducing effective measurements to the process and outcome of the area sales plans.
• Running weekly meetings to proactively discuss potential volumes and new leads towards the hotels represented, and follow up on the sales process to ensure high conversion ratios.
• Ensuring up to date, thorough and accurate filing system is in place for complete backup.
• Developing active communication and close rapport with the Global Sales Offices of Rotana Hotels locally and internationally, to ensure leads are forwarded, and information is being exchanged.
• Ensuring regular area updates and information are communicated to the Area Sales Office team, to ensure effective selling.
• Planning joint sales trips between the Area Sales Office team and the Business Development teams on properties within the area.
• Preparing the department’s revenue targets and/or expense budget, assisting Corporate Office when preparing the same.
• Assisting the Sales Team in preparing their KPO’s, mid-year reviews, and Annual Performance Reviews as per Corporate standards.
• Recruiting, training and motivating the Sales Team to realize their potential, and develop them for advancement within Rotana Hotels.
• Coordinating all Sales Activity Plans for the area.
• Holding monthly Sales meetings with area hotels, to discuss action planning and focused coordination of a consolidated potential analysis.
Skills
Education, Qualifications & Experiences
You should be holding a bachelor degree in sales with minimum two years work experience in a similar role. You must be a computer literate with excellent presentation skills and effective and outstanding communication skills, written and oral with proficiency in English and preferable Arabic.
Knowledge & Competencies
The ideal candidate will be dynamic and a ‘finisher’ with an eye for detail and the ability to drive through solutions.
