Job Description

We are currently seeking for passionate and dynamic guest-focused Human Resources professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of service.

As a Corporate Director of Talent Management you will direct and coordinate organization-wide efforts to ensure that performance management (PM) and quality improvement (QI) programs are developed and managed. The position is responsible for the design and implementation of Rotana’s global talent management strategy, colleagues learning and development, and effective programs for engagement, retention, promotion, and succession planning. The role will include key responsibilities such as: 

  • Participate in organizational strategic planning and provide leadership for Performance Management and Quality Improvement policy development
  • Manage the maintenance and execution of the performance management system, including current job descriptions, standards of performance and performance evaluation instruments
  • Be responsible for design, development and implementation of the performance management process that is required to achieve business goals and results in the creation of an internal bench of top talent
  • Design and assist in co-ordinating and facilitating development programmes, then maintain evaluation and review methods to monitor the effectiveness of the development activities
  • Design, implement and oversee a global training strategy and e-learning platform
  • Ensure Rotana’s Learning & Development standards are applied on a property and departmental level, through communication of policies and conducting annual Learning & Development Standard Reviews
  • Write, maintain and review Corporate Learning & Development Policies, ensuring we keep abreast of trends within the training and development field, recommend improvements to the CVP HR for approval
  • Enhance and develop a holistic Executive talent review and succession planning strategy
  • Develop, initiate and maintain effective programs for colleague engagement, retention, promotion and succession planning
  • Create and maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity and competitive advantage in support of the company's diversity and inclusion strategic plan
  • Conduct presentations and trainings
  • Assist General Managers and HR Leaders with the selection and orientation of new Learning & Development team members
  • Develop the competencies and skills of the Learning & Development team and monitor this through an updated accreditation log of the Learning & Development team
  • Ensure implementation of new corporate and area training initiatives through Learning & Development calendars, reports and spot checks, summarise information through the Learning & Development calendar and report
  • Assist with pre-opening of properties from initial set-up to implementation of the Learning & Development Pre-Opening Toolkit, arranging Learning & Development colleague assistance where and when required to ensure deadlines and standards are met
  • Monitor the preparation and use of the Learning & Development budgets
  • Keep track of Guest and Colleague Engagement results, follow-up on action plans where required
  • Attend and monitor the quality of training activities provided through external consultants through attending pilots and new training programmes delivered by them
  • Design, implement and oversee the Rotana Management Training Programme

Skills

Education, Qualifications & Experiences
You should have a minimum of three years experience in a Human Resources / Learning & Development Leadership role with multi-property responsibility. You must possess a high level of computer literacy and excellent English communication skills. Arabic speaking would be an advantage. Additionally, the right candidate has an immaculate personal presentation, high flexibility to travel and a great aptitude on guiding Senior Managers. Previous Gulf experience is preferred and a track record of career progress and stability is essential.
