Recreation - Massage Therapist

We are currently looking for young, dynamic, self motivated Recreation professionals who want to move their careers forward.

As a Massage Therapist you are responsible for recommending and applying body conditioning treatments and massages to the guests or leisure club members, whereby your role will include key responsibilities as:

• Conducting Massage using techniques such as kneading, effleurage and deportment to stimulate blood circulation, relax contracted muscles or to relieve other conditions.
• Administer steam or dry heat, ultraviolet, infrared or water treatments on request of guest at applicable sites where such treatments are available.
• Provide directions and recommendations to guests in activities such as stretching or remedial exercises.
• Liaise with the whole spa team and deal with queries in a professional and effective manner.
• Assist when required with contact and correspondence to Guests.
• Conduct guest consultation and medical disclaimer with all guests paying attention to contra-indications to treatment.
• Conduct body and treatment evaluation / reassessments for members and Guests on a regular basis with regards to the standards required.
• Participate in promotional events and spa demonstrations.
• Ensure you and spa operation follows SOP guidelines and regulations.
• Handle customer complaints and therapy queries

• Provide usage reports on your therapy services
• Ensure therapy room & spa cleanliness at all times
• Control the stock and inventory for therapy products and spa consumables
• Conduct a retail recommendation for all guests post-treatment offering re-booking options
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
• Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should be a certified Massage Therapist with ideally internationally experiences within the same role in a hotel or spa environment. You should be well skilled with all massaging treatments and portray a good command of English and strong interpersonal skills.

Knowledge & Competencies

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with a good spa background and a true passion to serve and ‘make others feel good’ through excellent customer care.
