Recreation - Recreation Receptionist (Arabic Speaker)

We are currently looking for young, dynamic, self motivated female Recreation professionals who want to move their careers forward.

As a Recreation Receptionist you are responsible for customer services, prioritizing work loads, as part of a team.

General Duties and Responsibilities: 

• To know how to operate and deal with customers, colleagues, supervisors on the phone. That the phone is answered correctly and in a polite manner.
• To make sure all the reception area is tidy and clean and that all materials i.e. towels, newspapers, magazines and advertising material is readily available.
• To fully understand all the club’s facilities and prices for memberships.
• To know all the classes available in the aerobics room and how much they cost.
• To know all prices for coaching in the relevant areas; how to make reservations and to communicate with the respective coaches.
• To make sure all guest and club members signs in the register book.
• To always take messages when needed. Having full details of who called e.g. name, contact number at least and to communicate these to whomever relevant.
• To constantly check changing facilities, making sure that they are clean and tidy.
• To make sure any lost property found is handed to the lost and found and recorded in the lost and found Log book.
• To know how to deal with guests who wants a locker for changing.
• To co-ordinate with the Recreation Team on the daily operation, and the Recreation Management to ensure the smooth and effective running of the Recreation areas.
• To liaise with Recreation Management and hotel personnel in dealing with queries in the most professional and effective manner.
• To organize, arrange bookings and receive guests to the Recreation facility.
• To take payments for Recreation services / bookings and handle cash / credit card transactions.
• To ensure Recreation operation follows SOP guidelines and regulations.
• To handle customer complaints and queries.
• To promote efficiency, confidence, courtesy and an extremely high standard of social skills.

 Environment, Health & Safety Responsibilities:

•     To comply with all policies and procedures of EHS manual.
•     Adopt work practices that support EHS programs.
•     Take reasonable care not only for the safety of his/her own health but also for the safety of other people who may be affected by their conduct in the work place.
•     Look for guidance for all new or modified work procedures.
•     Make sure to report immediately any hazardous conditions, near misses and injuries to the supervisor.
•     Must not intentionally place at risk the health or safety of any person in the workplace.
•     Must be involved in training and other environment, health and safety activities where required.
•     Handle / use all provided resources, facility and tools in a safe manner.
•     Wear personal protective equipment as provided and instructed.
•     Ensure to use equipment in compliance with appropriate guidance without intentional interference or misuse.

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should ideally have a diploma / degree in hospitality with previous work experiences within a hotel. Good written and verbal English communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities are essentials. Computer skills are an advantage.
