Captain - Food & Beverage

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food & Beverage Captain to join our team for a Pre-Opening project. As a Food & Beverage Captain, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests, ensuring excellent service and maintaining high standards at all times.

Job Responsibility:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the restaurant staff during service hours, ensuring smooth operations and timely service.
- Greet and welcome guests, escorting them to their tables, and assist with menu selection.
- Train and develop the restaurant staff on service standards, menu items, and up-selling techniques.
- Monitor and ensure proper set-up, cleanliness, and maintenance of the dining areas, including tables, chairs, and fixtures.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery food.
- Maintain knowledge of all menu items, daily specials, and beverage offerings.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and hygienic working environment.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement service strategies, promotions, and initiatives.
- Assist in inventory management, including controlling costs and minimizing waste.

Candidate Requirements:
- Proven work experience a & Beverage Captain or in a similar role, preferably in a pre-opening or high-end restaurant.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire the team.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including industry trends and best practices.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a strong attention to detail.
Famity with food handling safety, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Diploma or degree in hospitality or a related field is preferred.

- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage operations, including service standards and procedures.

- Proficient in using point of sale (POS) systems and other computer software related to food and beverage operations.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures to ensure compliance and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ability to adapt to and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude, proactive nature, and strong work ethic to contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
- Ability to work well under minimal supervision and take initiative when needed.
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus) to effectively communicate with guests and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a pre-opening or start-up environment, would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the local market and customer preferences is desirable.
