Job Description


Job Summary:
The Chef De Partie responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation are met at Onyx Arjaan and Residence by Rotana. They will work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen department.

Job Responsibility:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes according to the menu specifications, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management, ensuring timely ordering and minimizing wastage
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef in menu planning and development, bringing creative ideas and suggestions for improvement
- Assist in the creation of dishes for special events and promotions, ensuring adherence to brand standards and culinary excellence
- Stay updated with industry trends and innovations, enhancing culinary skills and knowledge
- Adhere to Rotana's policies and procedures, demonstrating a positive attitude, teamwork, and commitment to guest satisfaction

Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume hotel or restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or relevant certification from a recognized culinary institution
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, international cuisines, and culinary trends
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Attention to detail and a passion for culinary excellence
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and ability to take initiative in problem scenarios
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Flexibility to work in shifts and weekends as per business requirements
