Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to assist our Head Chef in overseeing the culinary operations of our establishment. The Executive Sous Chef will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food preparation, presentation, and kitchen cleanliness.
Job Responsibility:
1. Assist the Head Chef in planning menus, developing new recipes, and ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards.
2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
3. Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency and efficiency in food production.
4. Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of food items.
5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Proven experience working as a Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen.
2. Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team of culinary professionals.
3. In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
4. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
5. Certification from a culinary school or relevant training programs is a plus.
