Job Description
We are currently seeking for passionate and dynamic Maintenance professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests.
As a Duty Engineer you are responsible for all the mechanical and technical maintenance and HVAC equipment within your property and your role will include key responsibilities such as:
- Troubleshoot and repair hotel equipment, for all the MEP technical maintenance and HVAC equipment within your property.
- Works closely with the Engineering manager and DOE to carry out other responsibilities assigned to them in accordance with the established maintenance program and operation schedule to perform a smooth operation of the Engineering Department.
- Contribute to the day-to-day operational efficiency of the department.
- Daily utilities (Electric-Water-CW-Gas) and service desk system monitoring and reporting.
- Supervise and control the preventive maintenance schedule and follow checklists Boiler, Chiller, Emergency Generators, Fire Pumps, Kitchen, Refrigeration, HVAC/Laundry etc.
- Keep updates of daily events, especially on Banquets and Guestroom status, giving emphasis to VIP's.
- Coordinates daily with Housekeeping and Front Office for the readiness of the guest rooms.
- Responsible for the health safety of the property
- Follow the preventive maintenance chart strictly and maintain records for future reference
- To follow the engineering team's work closely and to ensure that the work quality/standard is at a good level.
- Coordinate with other department’s counterparts to ensure their satisfaction on quality and progress
- To ensure that the engineering team carries out their duties and responsibilities on time and correctly.
- Create departmental training programs among engineering Employees and create opportunities to multitask
- Distribute the work to subordinates accordingly to their capabilities in order to get the best results to the specified standards
- Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
- Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures

Skills
Education, Qualifications & Experiences
You should have a degree in mechanical engineering with previous experiences in a similar role and a proven knowledge in the operation and maintenance of the equipment. A good command of English and the ability to find fault and rectify subsystems are essentials.
