Job Description


Job Summary:
The Commis III is responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of various food items in adherence to Rotana's standards. The role requires proficiency in working with different kitchen equipment and ingredients to produce high-quality meals while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Job Responsibility:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items directed the senior kitchen staff.
- Follow the recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications provided by the executive chef or sous chef.
- Ensuring that all food items are prepared and presented according to Rotana's standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper storage of food items and cleaning of utensils and equipment.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting food supplies to ensure their quality and freshness.
- Comply with all sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
- Ad to all kitchen policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and hygiene.
- Assisting in the maintenance of inventory and supplies and notifying the superior when stocks are getting low.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.

Candidate Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
- Previous experience working in a similar role in a professional kitchen is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast environment.
Strong communication skills.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy kitchen equipment.
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and utensils.
