Engineering Supervisor

Job Summary:
We are currently looking for a skilled Engineering Supervisor to join our team at Onyx Arjaan by Rotana Bahrain. The Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the engineering department, ensuring that the hotel's facilities and assets are well-maintained and operating efficiently.

Job Responsibility:
- Supervise a team of engineers and technicians, allocating tasks, training, and providing guidance and support needed- Monitor the hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal functioning and address any issues or repairs promptly.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and develop and implement preventive maintenance plans.
- Coordinate and oversee the execution of repairs and maintenance work, including scheduling and coordinating contractors when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, expenses, and inventory of spare parts and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for the engineering team and hotel guests.
- Assist in the development and implementation of energy-saving initiatives and environmental sustainability practices.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations and quick resolution of maintenance-related issues.
- Stay up to date with the latest engineering and maintenance practices and technologies, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.

Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role in an engineering department, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and their maintenance requirements.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and hands-on approach to maintenance and repairs.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, hotel guests, and external contractors.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and experience in implementing safety protocols.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and maintenance management software.
