Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Executive Chef for Onyx Arjaan by Rotana to oversee our culinary operations. The Executive Chef will be responsible for creating innovative and delicious menu offerings, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation, managing kitchen operations, and leading a team of skilled chefs and kitchen staff.
Job Responsibility:
-Create and develop menus that reflect our culinary concept and meet the preferences and dietary needs.
-Ensure consistent high-quality food preparation and presentation to maintain our reputation for exceptional dining experiences
-Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including inventory management, ingredient sourcing, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
-Lead and mentor a team of chefs and kitchen staff to foster a positive and productive work environment
-Stay updated with industry trends and culinary techniques, and implement innovative ideas to improve offerings-Manage food and labor costs by monitoring portion control, minimizing wastage, and optimizing kitchen efficiency
-Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a safe working environment
-Collaborate with other departments, including procurement, sales, and marketing, to develop and execute special events and promotions
Requirements:
-Proven working experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end hotel. Hotel Pre-opening and GCC Experience are plus points.
-In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and planning- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
-Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
-Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
-Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
-Culinary degree or certification preferred, but not mandatory.
