Stewarding - Kitchen Steward

Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Stewarding - Kitchen Steward to join our team at Rotana. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, as well as maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation.

Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen utensils, equipment, and dishes to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
- Ensure the proper storage and handling all, following established procedures and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of food and beverage supplies to the kitchen and dining areas.
- Monitor inventory and report any shortages or breakages to the supervisor.
- Assist in the set-up and breakdown of dining areas and banquet events.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and service team to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
- Assist in receiving and storing food and beverage deliveries.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor management team.

Candidate Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Steward or in a similar role is preferred.
- Good knowledge of food handling sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and on a rotating shift basis.
- Basic knowledge of English is required.

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation: A Kitchen Steward should have a strong understanding of food safety regulations and be able to maintain a clean and sanitary workspace at all times.
