Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stewarding Supervisor to join our team. As a Stewarding Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the stewarding department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in all areas of the hotel or.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train a team of stewards, ensuring they are well-organized, efficient, and following all safety and hygiene protocols
- Plan and assign work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands
- Monitor and inspect all areas of the hotel or restaurant to ensure they are consistently clean, organized, and in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Oversee the maintenance and cleaning of all stewarding equipment and supplies, ensuring they are properly stored and in good working condition
- Coordinate with the culinary and service departments to ensure a smooth flow of operations, including the timely delivery of clean dishes, silverware, and glassware
- Responsible for inventory management, ordering and stocking of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment
- Conduct regular training sessions for stewards to enhance their skills and ensure compliance with cleaning standards and safety procedures
Candidate Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Stewarding Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and food service sanitation standards
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and delegate tasks
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
