Director of Human Resources

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Human Resources professional who thrives on creating an exceptional colleague experience, delivering creative people solutions and building a culture where colleagues feel valued, supported and connected.

As Director of Human Resources, you will lead the hotel’s HR function, partnering with the leadership team to deliver the people strategy, strengthen colleague engagement and support the achievement of our business objectives.

You will be responsible for managing the Human Resources function in line with the hotel’s strategic objectives, while creating a positive, engaging and high-performance culture for our colleagues.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Guide and direct all facets of Human Resources, including recruitment, coaching, compensation & benefits, health & safety, performance management and succession planning.
• Ensure the recruitment of high-caliber colleagues to support business objectives while remaining within approved staffing plans and budgets.
• Provide functional direction and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a trusted sounding board for colleague concerns, mediating solutions and initiating changes where required.
• Provide direction, coaching and counselling on performance management, employee relations and other HR matters.
• Maintain a high level of colleague satisfaction, engagement and team spirit through active support, direction and participation in hotel committees and initiatives.
• Champion Treasured Time, creating meaningful opportunities for colleagues to connect, recharge and enjoy quality time, reinforcing Rotana’s commitment to the overall colleague experience.
• Maintain effective and transparent communication throughout the hotel, ensuring colleagues remain informed and connected.
• Establish and implement the annual objectives, budget and programmes for the Human Resources Department in conjunction with the hotel’s strategic plan.
• Foster a cooperative and high-performance working climate, maximising productivity, colleague engagement and morale.
• Partner with the hotel leadership team to strengthen talent development, succession planning and leadership capability.

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

• Proven experience in a senior Human Resources leadership role, preferably within a five-star hotel or international hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of Human Resources practices, policies and procedures.
• Experience across talent management, employee relations, performance management and colleague engagement.
• Good knowledge of applicable Jordanian labour legislation and HR compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and senior stakeholders at all levels.
