As an Italian Chef, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of Gusto’s kitchen, with a strong focus on quality, presentation, and team development. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising daily kitchen operations and ensuring all food items meet hotel standards and SOPs.
- Maintaining consistent production quality and presentation across all dishes.
- Monitoring food cost controls and contributing to cost-effective kitchen practices.
- Collaborating on menu development and special event concepts, encouraging team creativity.
- Ensuring full compliance with HACCP and hygiene standards as per municipal regulations.
- Conducting regular on-the-job training for culinary colleagues and promoting health and safety.
- The Chef in this position will be reported Directly to the Executive Chef.
Skills
Skills & Qualifications
- Professional kitchen apprenticeship or formal chef training.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in reputable establishments, with specialised expertise in Italian cuisine.
- Strong command of English and proven skills in food preparation, presentation, and preservation.
