Sous Chef

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team and assist our Head Chef in overseeing the kitchen operations. The Sous Chef will be responsible for supervising the kitchen staff, managing food preparation, ensuring food quality, and maintaining a hygienic kitchen environment.

Job Responsibility:
1. Assist the Head Chef in planning and coordinating menu items.
2. Supervise and train kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques.
3. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
4. Ensure that all food safety and sanitation regulations are followed.
5. Oversee food presentation and ensure high-quality standards are met.
6. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new dishes and menu items.
7. Handle any kitchen emergencies and resolve issues to maintain kitchen operations.

Candidate Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a busy kitchen environment.
2. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen management.
3. Ability to work well under pressure and lead a team effectively.
4. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
5. Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
6. Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
