Kitchen Steward

Summary:
We are seeking a reliable Kitchen Steward to help keep the kitchen clean, organized, and ready for daily operations. The successful candidate will support the kitchen team by maintaining hygiene standards, cleaning equipment and utensils, and assisting with basic kitchen duties.

This position is based at Riviera Rayhaan by Rotana Doha!

Job Responsibility:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, storage areas, and waste bins.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Store clean equipment and supplies in their designated locations.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and replenishing kitchen supplies.
- Dispose of waste responsibly and maintain recycling procedures where applicable.
- Report damaged equipment, low supplies, or maintenance concerns to the supervisor.
- Support kitchen staff with basic tasks as needed.

Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen, cleaning, or stewarding role is an advantage.
- Knowledge of basic kitchen hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies safely.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team.

Knowledge of kitchen cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Ability to operate dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment
- Proper handling and storage of kitchen utensils, cookware, and supplies
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to maintain clean, organized dishwashing and kitchen areas
- Safe handling of cleaning chemicals and supplies
