CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) Operator

As a CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) Operator you are responsible for protecting and safeguard all hotel guests, colleagues, their belongings and all hotel assets, whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:

·         Continuously monitor live and recorded video footage from CCTV cameras installed throughout the hotel premises.

·         Maintain a high level of concentration and awareness while observing multiple camera feeds.

·         Detect and report any suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or security breaches to the Security Supervisor / Manager.

·         Initiate appropriate action in response to observed incidents, including contacting emergency services if advised by your manager.

·         Accurately document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in the CCTV logbook and Daily Dispatch Report.

·         Ensure that all CCTV equipment is functioning correctly and report any technical issues to the IT or maintenance department or integrator.

·         Perform regular checks and basic troubleshooting of CCTV cameras and recording equipment.

·         Communicate effectively with other security personnel and hotel management to ensure coordinated responses to security incidents.

·         Assist in the investigation of incidents by providing video evidence and detailed accounts of observed activities if national authority law allows.

·         Adhere to hotel policies and legal requirements regarding the use of surveillance equipment and the handling of recorded footage.

·         Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of all surveillance data.

·         Make sure the CCTV room is restricted to Security personnel and General Manager ONLY.

·         For internal investigation, make sure the Video Play-back request is submitted to security before providing feedback.

·         Ensure all playback requests are related to hotel operation and authority inquiries ONLY and deny any personal request.

·         Ensure all visitors access such as Integrator or IT are recorded with reason.

·         It is highly important that no one, including Security to use his mobile to film any video from the record.

·         Make sure you save any record related to serious incidents for future reference.

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should ideally be a certified CCTV operator with previous experience, preferably as a hotel security or a similar security branch background. Additional certifications like CPR, First Aid, BHV or the use of AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) are a definite plus. A good command of English in both written and spoken and to follow safety & security rules and procedures without compromises at all times are essential.
