We are currently looking for dynamic, and self-motivated Sales Executive with Sales Background professionals who want to move their careers forward.
As the Events Executive you are responsible to assisting the Director of Catering & Events in achieving the Catering & Events Budget in your Hotel and maintaining the Opera system as per the standard. You will also be responsible of maintaining the high standard of communication flow within the Hotel on all Events booked by the Department.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives.
- Gives tours of the facilities and discusses booking logistics, room options and menus with potential clients.
- Manage assigned projects in the area of meeting/event planning for a variety of meetings, conferences, webinars and workshops.
- Champions all standards, policies and procedures for the Event Planning team.
- Assist in planning and will oversee quotations & contracting for both M&E, Groups and residential conference business and most importantly yield the business effectively in order to achieve demanding revenue targets.
- Responsible for planning, retaining and developing existing business as well as acquiring new business and growing our market share by promoting Hotel.
- Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
- Collaborate with clients and the banquet operations department upon client arrival regarding proper set‐up, event execution and resetting for day/evening.
- Attends weekly department head meetings, works closely with Director of C & E/ Director of sales on future business planning and provides input and information during weekly revenue meetings.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly event sales reports.
- Regular attendance at all catering meetings and attendance when required at Food and Beverage Meetings or Department Head meetings.
- Responsible for a monetary goal to be mutually agreed upon by the Director of Catering/ DOS.
- Meet and greet clients, conduct property tours and promote facilities and services.
- Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly.
Skills
Education, Qualifications & Experiences
You should ideally have a degree in hospitality with previous experiences in the Sales Department within a hotel.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and knowledge in an additional language, along with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities are essentials. Computer literate and previous experiences with Opera are an advantage.
