Sous Chef - Oriental Kitchen

Summary:
We are looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our team in the Oriental Kitchen. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in creating delicious Oriental dishes and ensure the smooth running of the kitchen operations.

The position is based at The Cove Rotana Resort.

Job Responsibility:
1. Assist the Head Chef in planning and creating Oriental menus.
2. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation in the Oriental Kitchen.
3. Ensure food quality meets the restaurant's standards and customer expectations.
4. Help in managing kitchen staff, including training and supervising.
5. Monitor food inventory and place orders for ingredients as needed.
6. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
7. Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.

Candidate Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in an Oriental Kitchen.
2. In-depth knowledge of Oriental cuisine and cooking techniques.
3. Strong leadership and communication skills.
4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
5. Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.
6. Certificate in Culinary Arts or relevant field.
7. Food safety certification is a plus.

Proficiency in Oriental cuisine techniques and recipes
