Job Description
We are currently seeking for passionate and dynamic Engineering professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests.
As an Engineer (Facilities Management) you are responsible to assist the Director of Engineering on all matters related to the repairs and maintenance operation of the physical plant and engineering facilities within the hotel. The role involves maintaining all mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment, including heating and ventilation and will include key responsibilities such as:
- Supervising multi-disciplinary teams of staff and overseeing and contracts and contractors for services including civil and MEP works in Offices and Residential buildings.
- Manage the overall services provided within the facility ensuring that, power, water and air condition are well-maintained
- Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness
- Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
- Overseeing building projects, renovations or refurbishments
- Drafting reports and making written recommendations
- Handle certain administrative tasks.
- Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the facility.

Skills
Education, Qualifications & Experiences
You should hold a degree in facilities management, a related qualification in Engineering, management or a relevant professional qualification. Relevant experience as facilities manager in Hotel, Residences and Offices buildings, including technical skills related to buildings and property as well as skills working in a management position.
Additional Skills
- You should be able to develop good working relationships with a wide range of people. Also need to be well organized and have excellent spoken and written communication skills, as well as customer and client management skills.
- You must have the ability to manage a varied and complex workload and also have technical knowledge of building services, will need to be able to control efficiently and manage a budget and have the ability to make decisions quickly.
- Problem-solving is an essential skill as there will be times when things don’t go to as planned.
