Head Butcher

Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Head Butcher to oversee our meat department and ensure the quality of our products. The Head Butcher will be responsible for managing a team, coordinating production, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

The position is based at The Cove Rotana Resort.

Job Responsibility:
- Supervise the butchering process to ensure efficiency and quality control
- Train and manage a team of butchers and meat handlers
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Develop and implement meat preparation techniques to maximize yield and minimize waste
- Handle customer inquiries and special orders

Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Butcher or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of meat cuts, preparation, and storage
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and cleanliness
- Certification in butchery or a related field is a plus

Expert knowledge of different cuts of meat
- Strong knife skills and butchery techniques
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Experience in meat processing and portion control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Communication skills to interact with suppliers and kitchen staff
