Revenue Planning Analyst

Job Description

The Revenue Planning Analyst is responsible for analysing and forecasting company revenue while managing the reservation process to ensure alignment with overall financial objectives. This position plays a key role in maximizing revenue through accurate booking data, pricing strategies, and cross-departmental collaboration, particularly between reservations, sales, and finance teams.

Revenue Optimization:

- Work with the Reservations team to optimize pricing, promotions, and availability strategies to maximize revenue per booking.

- Ensure the revenue management systems are aligned with company goals, adjusting pricing models and availability based on real-time data and trends.

- Analyse booking trends, conversion rates, and customer behavior to recommend adjustments to reservation strategies for improved financial outcomes.

 Cross-Department Collaboration:

- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to communicate revenue goals, adjust strategies, and align departmental efforts toward common objectives.

- Partner with the reservations team to ensure promotional campaigns are effectively integrated into the reservation process.

- Act as a liaison between the Reservations team and other departments to ensure smooth communication and seamless execution of strategies.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Analyse reservation data, revenue trends, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting the performance of the reservation department in relation to revenue goals.

- Present insights and recommendations based on booking and revenue data to help inform strategic decision-making.

 Assist with Revenue Modelling and Pricing Strategies:

- Develop and implement pricing models and strategies to optimize room rates, occupancy, and overall revenue per reservation, in collaboration with the Director of Revenue.

- Collaborate with the reservations team to adjust pricing for various booking channels, seasons, and customer segments.

- Evaluate competitor pricing and market conditions to ensure the company remains competitive in the reservation space

Skills

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should ideally have a degree in the hospitality field with previous experience in a similar role for minimum two years within the Revenue Department of a hotel. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and strong financial, analytical and auditing skills are essential. Computer literacy and previous experience with Opera is a must.
