Sales - Events Manager - Arabic Speaking

We are currently looking for young, dynamic, self motivated Catering Sales professionals who want to move their careers forward. For this vacancy of Events Manager particular experience in the field of Wedding Planning is required. Female candidates are preferred. 

As an Events Manager you are responsible for the success of the meeting, catering and event segment of the hotel. You will secure the business, plan meetings / events, co-ordinate with hotel operations and clients before, during and after each meeting / event and your role will include key responsibilities such as:

•Establish and maintain an active relationship with our main bookers to increase customer satisfaction and business to Rotana Properties as well as maintain a close communication with all Rotana Outbound Sales and Area Sales Offices in order to work on leads and achieving loyalty of Guests to Rotana Hotels & Resorts

•Ensure your performance of IFH Mystery Calls is as per the Rotana Standard and your overall Result does not drop below 85%

•Ensure that the overall maintenance of all meeting rooms and related equipment is checked continuously and any fall back is reported to the Director of Catering & Events in order to maintain the high standards of performance and Guest satisfaction

•Ensure the communication and information flow is maintained on a daily basis by distributing Banquet Event Orders to all Departments as well as by attending daily briefings for the Catering & Events Department, Food & Beverage Operations and Kitchen Department

•Ensure that all incoming requests are handled jointly with the concerned Sales Person and as per the Rotana Standards including an active follow up on sent offers

•Satisfy the need of the clients whilst optimizing Hotel revenue through strategic yield management and up selling of hotel facilities and services

•Supervise and assist with Banquet Operations before, during and after events and assure Guest satisfaction throughout the event

•Actively ask for Guest feedback during and after the event and encourage the Guest to submit the Guest Satisfaction Survey

•Promote efficiency, confidence, courtesy and an extremely high standard of social skills and live by example towards your Team Members as well as all Employees of Rotana Hotels & Resorts.

•Maintain detailed product knowledge of the property you work in, as well as general product knowledge of all major Hotels and direct competitors in your city including competition checks

•Ensure to forward all irregularities that you encounter in your Department or any other Department of your area to the Director of Catering & Events in order to maintaining Rotana Standards & Policies and to maximise Customer Satisfaction

•Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment

•Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should ideally have a degree in hospitality with previous experiences in catering sales within a hotel. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and strong interpersonal and negotiations skills are essentials. Computer literate and previous experiences with Opera are an advantage.
